Senior Medical Social Worker – CAMHS
Medforce are delighted to be looking for a Senior Medical Social Worker who be responsible for delivering a recovery-focused, person-centred social work service within a multidisciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). The role involves providing comprehensive psychosocial assessment, intervention, and care planning for children, adolescents, and their families, ensuring integrated and evidence-based practice. This position is based in Dublin North City and County, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.
Responsibilities
Provide psychosocial assessments, therapeutic interventions, discharge planning and follow-up.
Manage a defined caseload, including complex cases.
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary CAMHS team.
Promote family-focused practice and the social model of care.
Advocate for service users and ensure anti-discriminatory, culturally competent practice.
Ensure compliance with CORU standards, legislation, HSE, HIQA and Mental Health Commission guidelines.
Participate in case conferences, court appearances, clinical meetings, and service planning.
Support day-to-day social work service delivery.
Supervise staff and social work students as required.
Contribute to service development, audits, policy development, and quality improvement.
Maintain high standards of documentation and GDPR/FOI compliance.
Support performance monitoring and reporting.
Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and supervision.
Promote evidence-based practice and research.
Provide consultation and training to colleagues and other professionals.
Comply with health, safety, infection control and risk management standards.
Promote sustainability and quality standards in line with HIQA and HSE policies.
Requirements
Be registered (or eligible for registration) with CORU Social Workers Register.
Haveminimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience.
Demonstrate CAMHS experience relevant to the role.
Maintain annual CORU registration.
Have access to appropriate transport.
