Overview
On behalf of our client, a sustainability-driven heritage hotel in Wexford, we are recruiting a head chef. This historic address hosts high-end, sustainable events with a strong focus on customer service. Amazing food and gracious hospitality have built this hotel's reputation. Next on the slate is a serious push to develop a destination restaurant business. Yes, now is the perfect time to take on the reins of the kitchen, as it embarks on a new phase in its journey towards sustainability with the further development of their heritage gardens. This is an enormous step forward. Chefs who dream of picking and foraging seasonal ingredients and developing menus that highlight the best of what our soil has to offer will relish this challenge.
Responsibilities
* Lead the kitchen's transition to a fully organic state by implementing a regenerative model.
* Collaborate with the Head Gardener to put Irish produce in front of guests.
* Oversee food for high-end events and catering; develop menus and seasonal offerings.
Qualifications and qualities
* Experience with large events and catering is valuable but not essential; strong systems are in place.
* Experience with seasonal produce, menu development, a love of food, teamwork, and a focus on customer service.
