Our client a leading Multinational Semiconductor Telecom Company requires Software Verification Systems Team lead for role based in Cork City, Ireland.
As the role is Team Lead position, it requires the individual to be onsite 4 days per week, there is no exception to this requirement.
Role:
You will join the machine learning verification team. This is a fast-paced team working on cutting edge software to enable the future of AI on DSPs.
The lead will be responsible for ensuring that the software sent to customers works out of the box for any model. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in verification of complex systems and will be able to use that background to create new standards for testing machine learning software.
Responsibilities:
The verification lead will be responsible for driving quality in a highly complex system by implementing new processes, aligning requirements across multiple organizations, and driving the development of new tools to create efficient testing processes. The lead will be asked to grow the team to 5-10 engineers to accomplish these goals.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in verification, excellent leadership and communication skills, experience in writing software, strong analytical and technical skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
Requirements:
* Lead a team of 5-10 engineers to develop a verification process for complex machine learning optimization software
* Define acceptance criteria, performance metrics, and test accuracy
* Work closely with the development team to clarify requirements, provide feedback on code quality, drive documentation improvements, and ensure defects identification and resolution occurs on time
* Drive the team to meet the highest code and product quality standards
* Guide the team to understand and meet customer requirements
* Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts
Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant discipline. A master’s degree is preferable.
* 10+ years of practical experience in software engineering
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills
* Experience with compilers or software optimized for specific hardware
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Experience with distributed systems
* Experience with batch compute
* The ability to work independently and to collaborate with others.
* Where you will be working
Preferred skills:
* Python software development of automation infrastructure
* Server sysadmin in support of local teams
* Ideal candidates will demonstrate the following:
* Proven experience as an ML Ops/DevOps Engineer or similar role
* Experience with industry standard CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub CI).
* Proficient in Python programming and automated testing
* Sysadmin experience within a device farm setting (physical device management)
* Advanced-level skills in Linux system administration, Docker, Git, Jenkins, NFS
* Experience with SQL, data visualization tools
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a cross-functional team spanning several time zones
