Senior Solutions Architect – Contract Role
Stelfox is hiring on behalf of one of the clients, seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to join their Risk Technology team. This is a unique opportunity to design and deliver mission-critical applications in one of the most dynamic and high-impact areas of global finance.
Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid)
Contract Type: 6-Month Rolling Contract
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and document scalable solutions to address complex business challenges.
* Define and enforce architecture standards, coding best practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
* Lead hands-on development of proof-of-concepts and R&D initiatives to validate technical feasibility.
* Collaborate with risk, compliance, and engineering teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
* Produce clear technical documentation, including UML diagrams and Visio workflows, for diverse stakeholders.
* Advise on technology selection, vendor evaluations, and cost-benefit analyses for risk systems.
* Mentor engineering teams on cloud security, resilient architecture, and risk-aware design patterns.
Ideal Skills & Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years in solution architecture or similar roles.
* Strong experience in microservices/SOA design within containerised environments.
* Proven track record in high-volume ETL/data processing.
* Expertise in polyglot systems using RDBMS (SQL Server/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
* Proficiency in RESTful/GraphQL APIs and asynchronous communication (Kafka, Redis Streams).
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
* Skilled in technical diagramming (UML/Visio) and documentation.
Bonus Skills:
* Experience with TimeSeries databases (e.g., Prometheus) or graph-native databases (e.g., Neo4j, TigerGraph).
* Hands-on coding experience in Python.
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
