We are seeking a Health & Safety Manager to join our team at the production site. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for a professional to lead and embed a strong safety culture across operations.
This role involves ensuring compliance with legislation and internal standards while driving continuous improvement. You will play a key part in shaping how safety is perceived and practiced on-site.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in a senior Health & Safety role within manufacturing or processing (preferably food, pharma, or chemicals). They will be responsible for:
* Leadership & Compliance: Ensuring full compliance with legislation and internal policies, championing a culture of safety ownership, and chairing site safety meetings.
* Risk Management & Auditing: Conducting gap analyses against company safety standards, managing the site's Health & Safety risk assessment programme, and overseeing internal audits and inspections.
* Incident Management & Reporting: Overseeing accident and incident investigations, managing monitoring and reporting requirements related to Health & Safety.
* Training & Development: Identifying training needs and implementing effective Health & Safety programmes, developing and executing objectives, targets, and plans to enhance safety performance.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Serving as the primary contact for Regulatory Authorities, hosting site visits and audits, networking internally and externally to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Occupational Safety, NEBOSH Diploma, or equivalent qualification, and at least 5 years of experience in a senior Health & Safety role within manufacturing or processing. They will also possess:
* A strong track record of engaging and influencing key stakeholders to embed a proactive safety culture.
* Extensive experience leading Health & Safety in high-risk, complex operational environments.
* Proven ability to build and leverage internal and cross-site networks to promote best practices.
* Committed to setting high standards and fostering accountability to continuously elevate performance.
* Skilled in interpreting and applying legislative frameworks effectively at site level.
* Persuasive communicator with the confidence to influence at all levels and drive cultural transformation.
