Responsibilities
* Assist in managing the daily execution of all banquet functions to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
* Assist with maintaining departmental standards to meet The Red Carnation Hotel Service Standards.
* Support the Conference & Banqueting Manager in ensuring effective communication and that staff are fully up to speed on function requirements.
* Oversee the setup and breakdown of function rooms, including linens, silver, glassware, and chinaware, according to event specifications with a full inspection.
* Monitor and develop team performance, provide supervision, rostering, evaluations, recognition, and ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar F&B function.
* Strong knowledge and passion for food, beverage, banqueting, guest care and hospitality.
* Proven ability to manage cost controls (e.g., food cost, labour).
* Experience in staff training, rotas, financial reporting, stock control and ordering.
* Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Ability to handle pressurised situations and busy periods.
* Flexible, innovative, motivated, adaptable and driven.
* Fluency in written and spoken English.
