Shift Supervisor – Manufacturing

We’re working with a well‑established and growing manufacturing organisation to recruit an experienced Shift Supervisor for their Irish operations.
This is a key leadership role for someone who enjoys being hands‑on on the shop floor, driving people performance, safety, quality and delivery across multiple manufacturing teams.
The Role
As Shift Supervisor, you’ll take full ownership of your shift, leading production teams across several manufacturing areas. You’ll be responsible for meeting daily output targets, maintaining high safety and quality standards, and developing a high‑performance, flexible workforce. This role operates on a rotating shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver daily production targets and customer delivery commitments
Lead daily shift meetings, handovers and KPI reviews
Manage labour, workflow and resources across manufacturing teams
Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, quality and safety standards
Drive LEAN / continuous improvement initiatives
Coach, train and performance‑manage team members
Support operational HR matters (timekeeping, holidays, discipline)
Champion Health & Safety and 6S across the factory floor
Ensure accurate completion of all production and quality documentation
What We’re Looking For
Manufacturing experience in an engineering or fabrication environment
5+ years’ experience in a supervisory / people‑management role
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and production processes
Exposure to LEAN manufacturing principles
Knowledge of MIG, TIG, blast & paint processes (advantageous)
Crane & forklift experience
Confident leader with strong communication and decision‑making skills
