Clinical Nurse Manager
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Manager to lead our mental health team in Dublin, Ireland.
* Deliver comprehensive physical health monitoring and treatment services to residents, including vital signs, medication management, and wound care.
* Collaborate with the GP and Multidisciplinary Team to develop and implement personalized care plans for residents with long-term conditions or chronic diseases, such as diabetes, respiratory illness, and COPD.
* Administer vaccinations and immunisations, conduct screenings, and perform general nursing duties like health promotion and education, phlebotomy, ear irrigation, and administering prescribed medications.
* Provide skin and wound care services, including treating venous leg ulcers and other skin injuries, assessing and treating skin lacerations, and managing skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis.
* Participate in emergency management, including anaphylaxis and resuscitation techniques, and deliver training and education on general health nurse monitoring.
* Develop and maintain physical health care plans in collaboration with residents, staff, and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with Mental Health Commission regulations.
* Liaise with nurses and medical staff on clinical observations, monitoring tests, and physical care interventions, providing guidance on safe medical device use and infection prevention initiatives.
* Support the multidisciplinary team on physical healthcare initiatives, complete audits to evaluate compliance with physical health care policies, and advise on action plans from findings.
* Attend and participate in multidisciplinary meetings, contributing to shared learning and decision-making.
* Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices and service requirements.
Candidate Requirements:
* Hold a current registration as a Registered General Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the NMBI.
* Have at least 3 years of post-registration experience in adult mental health services.
* Demonstrate advanced healthcare skills, with experience in venepuncture/phlebotomy, ECG monitoring, and primary care practice.
* Show evidence of effective communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
* Be proficient in IT systems and able to adapt to new technologies.
