Position: Laboratory Technician III
* Pay Rate: $26 – $27 per hour (based on experience, expertise, and education)
* Location: Dublin, OH 43016, USA
* Shift: 2nd Shift | Wednesday – Sunday | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Summary:
The primary role of a Laboratory Technician III is to perform routine medical laboratory tests used for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. You will work under the supervision of a medical technologist and play a critical role in delivering accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
Job Responsibilities:
* Set up, adjust, maintain, and clean medical laboratory equipment.
* Analyze test and experiment results to ensure conformity with specifications using specialized mechanical and electrical devices.
* Gather, analyze, and record test data to prepare detailed reports using charts, graphs, and narratives.
* Obtain specimens, cultivate, isolate, and identify microorganisms for analysis.
* Examine stained cells under a microscope to detect abnormalities.
* Collaborate with pathologists to determine final diagnoses when abnormal cells are identified.
* Conduct chemical analyses of body fluids, such as blood and urine, using microscopes or automated analyzers to detect diseases or abnormalities, and document findings in computer systems.
* Perform blood tests for transfusion purposes and conduct complete blood counts.
* Collect blood or tissue samples from patients following aseptic procedures to ensure accurate specimen collection.
Required Skills:
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Solid knowledge of laboratory techniques, diagnostic methods, and medical testing procedures.
* Proficiency in data analysis, documentation, and accurate result recording.
Education & Experience:
* Required: ASCP certification
* Preferred: Associate’s degree in Medical Technology or equivalent vocational training.
* Experience: 5–7 years of laboratory experience required.
