Job Title
The Financial Specialist will work closely with the accounting team and other managers within the finance department. They will provide proactive support in the administration of a robust financial management system, while ensuring accurate accounting procedures are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Analysis: Support the finance department by providing timely access to financial information, including analysis and commentary, for the finance team and directors.
* Liaise with the accounting manager and business partner to review financial information and meet reporting deadlines.
* Prepare monthly management accounts and complete balance sheet reconciliations for review.
* Assist in the preparation of the annual service level agreement.
* Support budget preparation and import of annual budgets.
Accounting Expertise:
* Prepare and present relevant reports and financial analysis to the accounting team and finance managers.
* Identify variances to budget/forecast and spot trends to support directors in financial monitoring and control.
Process Improvement:
* Support the finance team in implementing and embedding process improvements and changes to financial procedures.
* Contribute to the implementation of new financial systems, as directed by the director of finance.
Internal Audits:
* Support and participate in internal audit processes.
