Our client, a leading international law firm, already established on the Irish market, is expanding its employment offering and seeks a mid-senior level Associate to support the existing Partner with the growth and development of the practice area. This is a key strategic hire in a growing practice, and the successful candidate will work across the full spectrum of employment law.
Key Responsibilities
* Advise employer and employee clients on a broad range of employment law matters, including contracts, workplace policies, grievances, disciplinary actions, redundancies, dismissals, and compliance issues.
* Represent clients in contentious matters, including WRC hearings, the Labour Court, and High Court litigation.
* Act as employment law counsel on corporate support matters, including M&A transactions, TUPE, reorganisations, and due diligence processes.
* Build strong client relationships through excellent service delivery and commercially focused advice.
* Take initiative in identifying and pursuing business development opportunities, including networking, writing thought leadership content, and participating in industry events.
* Collaborate with colleagues across other practice areas and international offices as needed.
* Contribute to the growth and development of the employment law department, including mentoring junior staff, and shaping internal best practices.
Key Requirements
* Qualified solicitor in Ireland with 3–7 years PQE in employment law (candidates outside this range with relevant experience will also be considered).
* Strong background in all employment law matters.
* Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and take ownership of matters from start to finish.
* Commercially aware, solutions-oriented, and a confident communicator.
* A strong team player with an entrepreneurial mindset and a genuine interest in contributing to a growing practice.
