About the Company
My client, based in Cork city centre is a well‑known and progressive accountancy practice and is continuing to grow its team in the outsourcing department. They provide a range of services including Audit, tax and advisory to a diverse and interesting client base compromising both national and international clients.
About the Position
They are looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their practice with a view to the successful candidate moving to partner level within a short timeframe. The role involves a diverse portfolio of clients and client engagement and across a broad range of sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Evaluate and implement effective internal controls
* Providing full financial control services to clients
* Manage a team
* Prepare financial statements and audit exempt working papers.
* Complete accounts files; bring assignments to completion.
* Prepare management accounts month end closing and reporting for clients
* Operating software packages to record and retrieve information using Sage 50 and Excel.
* Preparation and submission of VAT and RCT returns.
* Assist with audit files when necessary
Experience/Requirements
* ACCA, ACA, or CPA qualified
* 5+ years PQE in a small/medium sized practice
* Commitment to professional and client service excellence
* Sound computer literacy; MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Good knowledge of FRS 102
* Knowledge of CaseWare would be an advantage.
