Mayo. Reporting to the Director of Plant Engineering, this role comes at an exciting time as the company expands and introduce new products and technologies to the site.You will lead Automation and Operational Technology (OT) systems, ensuring both compliance and performance. You will spearhead key initiatives such as the rollout of electronic Batch Records (eBR) and capital upgrade projects.About Your New Job:Manage and mentor the Automation/OT team: Provide coaching, set performance objectives, and foster team development.Team leadership: Manage a team of engineers, coordinate resource planning, and drive growth initiatives.Enhance productivity and compliance: Develop software modules, manage system integration, validation, and support services.Implement emerging technologies: Maintain regulatory standards, design training for end-users, and manage vendor relations.Oversee SCADA, PLC, DCS engineering: Handle change controls, complex system issues, and long-term maintenance.Drive process optimizations: Lead audits in the Automation/OT domain and ensure site compliance and performance.Present technical data: Influence decisions on cost, compliance, quality, and productivity, and maintain validated systems.What Skills You Need:Educational background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Control Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related area.Experience: 8–10 years in FDA/HPRA-regulated pharmaceutical or biotech environments.Leadership: Proven experience in managing projects and people.Technical skills: Expertise in batch processing, SCADA/DCS/PLC integration, and regulatory standards.Success in automation: Demonstrated success in leading validated systems and major automation upgrades.What’s NextApply now by clicking the “Apply Now" button.
