Job Summary
Prepare authentic Bangladeshi dishes using traditional cooking methods and spice blending techniques to deliver high-quality meals in a restaurant, catering, or home-based commercial setting.
Responsibilities
Cook authentic Bangladeshi food consistently in a restaurant, catering, or home-based commercial environment to meet quality standards
Apply deep knowledge of traditional spice blending techniques, including dry roasting and wet pastes, to enhance dish flavors
Use traditional cooking methods to prepare dishes that preserve authentic taste and texture
Prepare key Bangladeshi dishes such as Alu Bharta, Vajee (e.g., Lau Vajee, Kachur Shak Vajee), Shorshe Ilish, Khicuri with Alu Bharta, Dhakaia Morog Pulao, and various Bhorta varieties (Begun Bharta, Dim Bharta, Shutki Bharta)
Optionally prepare traditional rice cakes (Pithas) such as Bhapa and Patishapta to add variety to the menu
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Experience preparing Pithas (traditional rice cakes) is a plus but not mandatory
