You’ll play a central role in ensuring everything we produce meets the highest food safety and quality standards — supporting customers across supermarkets, food service, independent retail, and export markets.ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIESStrong systems, process, and business analysis skills to maintain and continuously develop the QMS, ensuring the production of safe, legal products that meet required specifications.Ensure full compliance with ROI, UK, and international food safety regulations (e.g. BRCGS, FSA, HACCP, GLOBALG.A.P.).Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust food safety management systems.Remain up to date with legislative changes, industry developments, and EU standards.Drive continuous improvement in product quality, consistency, and food safety performance.Manage on‑site compliance with all food safety standards, procedures, and SOPs.Coordinate coaching, training, and communication to ensure all departments meet quality and food safety competency requirements.Lead quality incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions.Drive root cause analysis and corrective action processes for quality‑related issues.Monitor KPIs and implement initiatives to improve quality performanceProactively identify opportunities to enhance and take ownership of improvements within the QMS.Oversee the verification, validation, and maintenance of process and quality control equipment.Lead third‑party accreditation processes and manage all external and internal audits on site.Lead Internal Audit, Traceability, and HACCP teams.Collaborate with NPD and Quality teams to ensure product development trials are introduced and managed in a controlled manner.Maintain and update documentation for new and existing products, including internal and customer specifications.IDEAL CANDIDATE3+ years’ in-depth knowledge and experience in quality & food safety within an FMCG environment.A third-level qualification in Food Science, a Diploma in Commercial Horticulture, or a related discipline.Good understanding of food production processes and relevant legislation is advantageous.Strong background in Food Safety and Quality Management Systems, including experience with BRCGS audits.Internal Auditor Training Certification is desirable.
