About the Company:
Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician that has experience carrying out Mechanical & Electrical issues? A client manufacturing company based in County Monaghan are currently on the lookout for a motivated and hard-working individual to join their maintenance team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a successful manufacturing company that specialises within food environment and to help keep their company running safely, efficiently, and at peak performance.
There will also be an on call on a rota basis out of hours and at weekends when required and working every 4th Saturday within the company.
Duties Include:
* Carry out planned and preventive maintenance across all production areas.
* Diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical faults (including PLC-controlled systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and conveyors).
* Support equipment upgrades, installations, and commissioning.
* Monitor line performance, reacting quickly to breakdowns or deterioration.
* Maintain accurate records in our CMMS system.
* Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Contribute to continuous improvement and lean projects.
Essential Criteria:
* Qualification or Equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
* 3–5 years’ experience in maintenance within manufacturing/industrial operations.
* Strong track record in fault finding, repair, and maintenance of automated machinery.
* Experience in a regulated sector (food, pharma, automotive, etc.) is an advantage.
* Multi-skilled technician with both electrical and mechanical expertise.
* Problem solver with a proactive, hands-on approach.
* Strong communicator, able to work cross-functionally.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
* Flexible to work alternating shift patterns.
