Role Overview
As a Design Manager, you will be based out of the Head Office and will support the delivery of residential schemes across the client’s Irish development portfolio. You will oversee architectural design work produced by external consultants to ensure alignment with design standards, market expectations, and regulatory requirements.
You will work closely with planning, technical, commercial and sales teams, reviewing design outputs at all stages and identifying opportunities for optimisation. The role also involves managing design briefs, maintaining design templates and guidance documentation, contributing to the selection of external finishes and products, and supporting stakeholder agreement on key design decisions.
Required Background
Degree in Architecture or a related discipline
7+ years’ professional experience in residential design; developer experience advantageous
Strong knowledge of housing and apartment design guidelines
Experience reviewing and coordinating external design consultants
Ability to balance design quality, customer requirements and construction practicality
Good understanding of current planning policy and building regulations
Proficiency in CAD or Revit, SketchUp (or similar 3D software) and InDesign
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Full driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
