Job Description
This role will lead the engineering design for multiple projects, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget. The successful candidate will have experience in managing medium to large projects at site, country, or regional levels.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and technical management, with experience in project portfolio management, large project execution, leadership in international teams, capital investments, and bio/pharma process design.
A master's degree in Engineering or equivalent is required, along with a project management background and experience in pharmaceutical or biotech facility startup or manufacturing.
The successful candidate will be fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Project Delivery: Lead studies for all Tiers 2 projects (€5-15M) and support Tiers 1 projects with the project support group for EMEA M&S sites and external manufacturing.
* Team Management: Coordinate staffing for project teams with project managers and ensure compliance with Engineering, EHS, and Quality standards.
* Technical Expertise: Define contract models for Engineering studies, collaborate across functions and sites to optimize project steps, apply project management standards, and contribute to best practices.
* Risk Management: Identify and communicate project risks, support site teams during PQ & validation activities before handover.
* Sustainability: Minimize CO2 emissions, energy, and utilities in design, aiming for zero emission in new buildings or extensions.

About You
* Experience: Over 10 years in senior engineering roles, managing medium to large projects at site, country, or regional levels.
* Soft Skills: Effective collaboration with peers and stakeholders, initiating change and innovation, developing teams for future needs, pragmatic performance development, LEAN mindset, problem-solving skills, and openness to new tools.
* Technical Skills: Strong experience in engineering and technical management, managing complex projects with significant results, experience in process and utility systems, project portfolio management, and large project execution.
* Education: Master's in Engineering or equivalent, project management background, experience in pharmaceutical or biotech facility startup or manufacturing.
* Languages: Fluent in English (spoken and written).
