Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the operational, financial, and strategic performance of a dynamic manufacturing facility.
This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring customer satisfaction, developing high-performing teams, and maintaining strict compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
The General Manager will champion continuous improvement, innovation, and efficiency to maintain a competitive advantage in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership & Business Growth
Lead the development and execution of strategies to achieve site and business objectives.
Drive revenue growth, profitability, innovation, and operational efficiency.
Foster a high-performance culture to maintain a competitive market advantage.
* Operational Excellence & Customer Focus
Oversee operational delivery across Quality, Customer Response, Delivery, and Cost metrics.
Enhance production through lean manufacturing, process optimisation, and automation initiatives.
Strengthen supplier and stakeholder partnerships to support supply chain performance.
* People Leadership & Talent Development
Build, lead, and inspire cross-functional teams across the site.
Promote a culture of learning, leadership development, and employee engagement.
Drive succession planning to build strong leadership pipelines.
* Compliance, Governance & Performance Management
Ensure compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and quality certifications.
Monitor and report on financial and operational KPIs, with a focus on continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will possess relevant third-level education and extensive experience in manufacturing and operations, ideally in a high-tech environment. They should have at least 5 years in a senior leadership role with full site or business unit responsibility.
The successful candidate will be a resilient, adaptable, and results-driven individual with excellent interpersonal, influencing, and team-building skills.
They must also demonstrate a deep understanding of manufacturing operations, from NPI to high-volume production, and a proven track record of developing leadership talent and fostering collaborative environments.
