For information about job opportunities at Fannin and across the wider Vital Healthcare business, please our careers site.Job DescriptionWarehouse OperativeLocation: Fannin Limited, Ballybrit Upper, Galway, IrelandDepartment: WarehouseReporting to: Warehouse Team LeadPrincipal Duties And ResponsibilitiesFulfill general warehouse duties:Organize warehouse stock daily carton boxes, raw materials, irradiated products, bottle media, pallet etc.Organize all waste cardboard, plastic, general waste, toxic waste for collection.Supply ECA 1 with sufficient stock plates, pipettes, raw material bottles etc.Remove all waste from 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor.Ensure incoming goods are checked in stock and transferred to appropriate areas qtys and batches checked. Paperwork brought to the Procurement staff.Maintain logs: Forklift logbook, cleaning logbook, shelf inspection logbook.Unlock/lock outside gates and fire escape doors in warehouse. Ensure the loading bay door controls are turned off and securely lockedPrepare and Dispatch media for irradiation to Steris box the product, labels boxes, contact courier company, fill outgoing irradiated logbook, inform production of qtys dispatched. Inform QC laboratory when goods returned.Dispatch plastics goods.General tidying and cleaning of warehouse and loading bay. Including floor washing & cleaning. complete as per logbook.Ensure forklift inspection is done. Including water level in battery ( ensure appropriate PPE used)Complete all documentation accurately and ensure tasks are in compliance with appropriate procedures, SOPs and company and EHS regulatory requirements.Communicate effectively with internal and external suppliers, assisting with issues and queriesAssist Dispatch team when necessary.Ensure safety in warehouse, wear the required PPE, footwear and Hi-Viz vest providedEnsure all visitors are signed on reception log bookOrder necessary warehouse supplies stored in warehouse tape, pallet wrap, pallets etc.RequirementsReach Forklift LicenseDesirable QualificationsExperience in GLP, GMP, GDP and/or ISO environmentsExperience in SAP or similar ERP systemExperience in warehouse inventory managementDesired CharacteristicsPro-activeFlexible and adaptable to changing environmentAbility to interface effectively with all levels within the company as well as organizations outside Fannin (e.g. IT, suppliers & freight companies)Proven problem solving and trouble shooting skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to plan and prioritise work to meet commitments aligned with production prioritiesGood attention to detailsAlthough the above is a description of the requirements of the role, as stated in your contract of employment, you may be required to carry out other reasonable duties as the Company may require from time to time.Please note that all DCC Vital staff work within quality management systems and that all of the above will apply to the product portfolio.SkillsForklift IT Literate Attention to detail
