Are you a Senior Engineer ready to step up to Principal level? Excellent Cork based opportunity Senior / Principal Engineer (Water & Wastewater Design) required to to join a multidisciplinary architecture & engineering consultancy in Cork.
The Cork team specialises in delivering sustainable water and wastewater infrastructure projects, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Engineer to step up into a Principal-level role, or for an established Principal Engineer to join a growing team, with responsibility for leading high-profile projects, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to the continued growth of the organization.
Sample Projects: Major wastewater treatment plant upgrades and expansion programmes Regional and national water supply schemes Urban stormwater management, drainage and nature-based solutions Design Build partnerships on water and wastewater infrastructure projects Requirements: Level 8 or Level 9 Degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering.
Minimum 7+ years experience delivering water and wastewater design projects within a consultancy or designbuild environment.
Proven track record in project delivery, client liaison, and stakeholder management.
In-depth knowledge of Irish Water standards, Eurocodes, BC(A)R, and industry guidelines.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior engineers.
Proficiency in design software such as Auto CAD, Civil 3 D, Micro Drainage/Info Works ICM (or similar).
Strong commercial awareness, contract knowledge (FIDIC/NEC), and experience preparing proposals/tenders.
Chartered with Engineers Ireland (or equivalent); candidates pursuing Principal level should demonstrate business development and leadership capability.
