This role is central to how we deliver innovation, operational resilience, and value through our IT supply base as part of the Global Indirect function. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing enterprise IT category strategies, managing supplier relationships, driving cost optimisation and Working Capital improvement, and ensuring alignment with Eaton's digital transformation and business objectives.This role will help to support IT stakeholders across various areas - specifically in relation to:Software (SaaS and On-Prem)CloudInfrastructureIT Service DeliveryHardwareNetworks
What you'll do:Develop and execute sourcing strategies for IT and Telecoms (hardware, software, services, telco)Manage ~$350M global IT spend, aligning category strategy with business and tech roadmapsLead supplier sourcing, contract negotiation, and performance managementEnsure contracts meet compliance, mitigate risk, and deliver long-term valueCollaborate with IT, Finance, Legal, and business units to align procurement with enterprise goalsBuild strategic supplier partnerships to drive innovation and performanceIdentify cost savings and process improvements across IT & Communications spendEnsure governance, ethical standards, and supplier risk managementMonitor market trends and emerging technologies to inform strategyAnalyse sourcing data and maintain data accuracy across toolsSupport digital solution deployment (Microsoft apps, ServiceNow) within Indirect SCM
Qualifications and skills:Bachelor's in Business, Supply Chain, IT, Engineering or related field5+ years in strategic sourcing/category management, with IT focusDeep knowledge of IT & Telecoms market and suppliersStrong SCM sourcing and supplier management expertiseSkilled in negotiation and contract interpretationAdvanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiencyEffective problem-solving and multitasking across global projectsExcellent communicator with influence across senior and cross-functional teamsConfident presenter with strategic and operational clarityStrategic mindset with global perspective and planning skillsProfessional, collaborative leadership styleSelf-driven, thrives in fast-paced international settings
