Retail Supervisor
As Retail Supervisor you will assist the store directors with retail operations, supervising, coaching and motivating staff to achieve excellent technical standards and customer service, and to exceed performance targets. You will use key performance indicators to increase sales, minimise costs and maximise profits, supporting the management team in the effective running of the store.

Your Role
Be proactive in ensuring the store always looks its best and is presented to the highest standards, with an eye for detail to correct any imperfections.
Use a continuous improvement mindset to identify and deliver commercial opportunities to improve the dispensing customer journey.
Ensure the dispensing service provided in store complies with Group policies and procedures.
Liaise with the lab to ensure customers receive accurate information about their collection.
Maintain a commitment to continually develop yourself, strengthening your performance and leadership in an ever‑changing business.
Be a role model for excellent management so that every member of staff feels valued, gives their best, enjoys their job, and contributes to running a superb store.
Manage recruitment of new dispensing staff members and ensure they have the best possible induction into the business.
Host regular team meetings, training and development sessions to foster a continuous improvement mindset across the business.
Help people understand their role, what’s expected, and how they fit in by creating opportunities for regular discussion, and manage performance through 1‑2‑1s, performance reviews and goal setting.
Ensure professional training for team members is appropriate for present and future needs while complying with legislation.
Aim to consistently exceed all personal and team goals.
Ensure the team is appropriately staffed to support efficient store operations.
Act as an ambassador for Specsavers at all times.
