Amazon is looking for an exceptional HR leader to drive the development and implementation of the HR Strategy in support of the AWS Europe Data Centers. This role requires a progressive, data-driven, and customer-obsessed Human Resources Leader who will have responsibility for driving organization effectiveness while implementing HR programs such as annual review processes, promotions, performance management, and employee engagement.
The individual must understand business priorities and translate them into a HR agenda that supports the business. The ideal candidate will have the ability to diagnose issues and influence solutions/outcomes, interface effectively with professionals at all organizational levels, and possess business acumen, communication, influencing, strategic thinking, project management skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key job responsibilities
* Work with senior management to develop and implement HR plans and solutions.
* Contribute broadly to European teams, influencing beyond a local remit.
* Define HR goals based on business drivers and identify underlying people issues to address business challenges.
* Earn trust as a partner to Infrastructure leadership locally, regionally, and beyond.
* Partner with the business on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and skills assessment and development.
* Provide management coaching to front-line managers and senior leaders.
* Review and analyze business metrics, including data on retention and employee experience, to recommend systemic improvements.
* Lead annual and mid-year review processes focusing on performance management and talent development.
* Support compensation activities, including salary planning, promotions, and job re-leveling.
* Address employee relations issues fairly, representing all interests.
Basic qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field
* 8+ years in a related HR role
* Experience partnering with business leaders in complex, dynamic environments
* Broad knowledge of human resource theory, employee development, and performance systems
* Strong understanding of European employment laws
* Ability to influence and partner across organizational levels
* Strong business and HR acumen, problem-solving, critical thinking, and analysis skills
* Experience in high-tech, entrepreneurial environments requiring multi-tasking
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
Preferred qualifications
The ideal candidate will be an experienced HR Business Partner with a reputation for innovative talent decisions, trusted by executives and teams, capable of developing impactful programs, and possessing deep cross-cultural relationships. Experience with American corporate culture or post-merger environments is advantageous. They should be strategic, data-driven, an effective communicator, and adept at influencing across cultures. Other qualities include project management, coaching, and delivering measurable results in high-growth, ambiguous environments.
