My client is looking for an experienced Full Stack Java Developer to join their team. You’ll join a growing team developing software for a major global financial services firm. You’ll be instrumental in developing technology for future challenges in fighting financial crime. Technologies used include Java, Angular, Spring Boot, GraphQL, Microservices, Spark, Camel, Docker, Sonar, and Bitbucket to support various business functions.
The Role
Write high-quality, reusable code.
Define and evolve component architecture.
Contribute to architectural decisions at departmental and bank-wide levels.
Use test-driven development.
Help build, test, and release software efficiently with automated pipelines.
Collaborate within a delivery team to understand requirements, analyze, refine stories, design, implement, test, and support software in production.
Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
Design user interfaces that are ergonomic and understandable, working closely with users for feedback.
Ensure software reliability and supportability in production.
Participate in on-call support and performance analysis.
Skills/Experience Needed
Extensive experience in IT development with relevant technologies.
UI Technologies: Angular, shared libraries, components, UI architectural patterns, Monorepo structure, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Redux, Bootstrap, Node.js, Wiremock.
Backend Technologies: Java/J2EE (Java 8+), Spring Boot, REST and GraphQL APIs, SQL, Oracle, PL/SQL.
Experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Openshift, Kubernetes, Shell scripting.
Agile methodologies: Scrum, Kanban.
Web UI development: responsive, accessible, user-friendly interfaces.
Tools: VS Code, SonarQube, Jira, Confluence, GIT, Maven, Artifactory.
Nice to have: Business Process frameworks (e.g., JBPM), Enterprise Integration Patterns (Apache Camel), Helm, Kubernetes YAML, financial services domain knowledge.
