Senior Quantity Surveyor Wexford €Neg + Package Required for specialist contractor operating within the construction industry, delivering innovative solutions for both preventive and remedial applications. We support some of the largest and most respected main contractors in the industry and are currently working on multiple major commercial developments. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full commercial and contractual management of packages across multiple construction projects. This role will involve direct liaison with project managers, directors, ensuring the successful financial delivery of projects from pre-contract through to final account. Key Responsibilities Commercial Oversight:Manage the commercial performance of multiple projects, ensuring delivery within budget and alignment with specification. Contract Management:Administer contracts, including reviewing terms, managing variations, and handling claims. Procurement:Source and procure subcontractors, materials, and suppliers, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. Budget & Cost Control:Prepare cost plans and budgets, monitor spend, manage cost risks, and forecast outturn values predictions. Financial Reporting:Produce detailed cost reports, valuations, and cash flow. Negotiation:Lead negotiations on contract terms, pricing, and variations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Final Accounts:Oversee and agree final accounts in a timely and accurate manner. Risk & Compliance:Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial risks while ensuring compliance with legal and contractual obligations. Team Leadership:Mentor and guide junior surveyors, promoting professional development and high performance. Site Presence:Undertake regular site visits to verify measurements, monitor progress, control variations, and ensure accurate reporting. Business Development:Identify and support opportunities for new business and potential expansion within current project frameworks. Qualifications & Experience: Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum of 57 years relevant experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry, preferably with a subcontractor or specialist contractor. Strong working knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., RIAI, JCT, NEC), cost planning, and commercial project delivery. Skills: Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple live projects. Experienced in cost reporting, Excel, and relevant commercial software tools.
