Our Galway Office
Rent The Runway established its European Technology Hub in Galway in April 2019. Our growing team in Galway tackles core technology challenges and influences the next generation of services critical to Rent The Runway's success and continued growth.
The Network Team
We design, manage, and optimize the systems and network infrastructure supporting Rent the Runway's corporate offices and fulfillment centers. As part of this strategic group, you will collaborate across departments to drive scalability, innovation, and efficiency throughout the company's IT operations.
About the Job
We seek a passionate and analytical Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead our network infrastructure's design, implementation, and maintenance across all offices and fulfillment centres. You will be responsible for ensuring scalability, efficiency, and security in our network design, playing a key role in shaping the future of our infrastructure.
Your Responsibilities
* Share responsibility for office and fulfillment centers infrastructure including routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, circuits, data centre design, site-to-site, and client VPNs.
* Collaborate with other engineers to diagnose, resolve, and prevent production issues.
* Manage administration of our systems, such as log management and monitoring.
* Participate in the team's on-call rotation model.
About You
* You are a system administrator with proven ability to learn, adapt, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while contributing to team success and driving results.
* You have a deep understanding of hybrid network architecture (Utilizing GCP).
* Hands-on experience with Juniper and Palo Alto equipment is a must.
* Knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols (OSPF & BGP).
* 4+ years of hands-on experience with routing, switching, and network design.
* 4+ years of experience supporting firewalls (Palo Alto currently deployed).
* Solid experience with open-source environments, including automation/development building blocks such as Python, Git, Terraform, Ansible and others.
* You will be familiar with VPC design, Cloud Interconnect, and Cloud VPN.
* You have experience with load balancing, peering, and hybrid connectivity solutions.
* Knowledge of Google Cloud IAM and network security controls (e.g., firewall rules, ingress/egress policies).
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
* Provide troubleshooting guidance and training for Tier 3 IT network support.
