WORKING ENVIRONMENT & PROJECTS
You will step into a leadership role at the heart of a high-performing cost management function, overseeing delivery across a diverse portfolio of major buildings projects spanning multiple geographies. Project types are varied and technically challenging, encompassing large-scale commercial fit-outs, life sciences facilities, corporate campuses, and complex mixed-use developments across the EMEA region and North America.
The team you will lead comprises ten experienced cost management professionals, each bringing specialist knowledge across different sectors and project stages. You will be expected to provide direction, mentorship and accountability — creating an environment where individuals perform at their best and the collective output reflects the quality the firm is known for.
The hybrid working model offers flexibility without sacrificing the collaborative culture that defines this firm. Client relationships are central to the role, and you will be the senior face of the business to a portfolio of key accounts — attending client meetings, steering commercial discussions and ensuring continued satisfaction and retention at the highest level.
Beyond day-to-day delivery, this role carries genuine strategic weight. You will be actively involved in operational growth initiatives — contributing to business development, supporting the expansion of service offerings and helping to shape how the firm positions itself in an increasingly competitive market. It is a role for someone who is as comfortable in a boardroom conversation as they are reviewing a cost plan.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and manage a team of ten cost management professionals, providing direction, performance oversight and ongoing mentorship across the full project portfolio
Oversee cost management delivery across a large and varied buildings portfolio spanning EMEA and North America, ensuring quality, consistency and programme adherence
Act as the senior client relationship lead for key accounts, maintaining strong partnerships and positioning the firm as a long-term trusted advisor
Manage and report on major construction and fit-out programmes, providing clients with timely, accurate and commercially insightful cost advice
Drive resource allocation, workload planning and team development to ensure effective project coverage and staff retention
Support and lead business development activity, including bid strategy, proposal preparation and attendance at client presentations
Contribute to strategic operational growth initiatives, working closely with senior leadership to evolve the firm's service offering and market positioning
Champion best practice in cost management methodology, benchmarking and reporting across the team

WHAT YOU NEED

Significant experience in a senior cost management role within a consultancy environment, with a strong track record across major buildings and real estate programmes
Proven experience leading and managing a team of cost management professionals, with the ability to develop talent and drive high performance
Deep familiarity with large, multi-site or portfolio-level programmes across international or multi-geography environments
Outstanding client relationship management skills, with demonstrable experience operating as a trusted senior advisor to major clients
Commercial acuity and the confidence to engage in business development, growth conversations and strategic planning at Director level
Strong knowledge of construction procurement, contract forms, and cost planning methodologies relevant to complex building projects
Chartered status (MRICS or equivalent) strongly preferred
