Senior Finance Officer

The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Leading day-to-day finance operations including budgeting, payroll liaison, and cashflow monitoring.
* Working closely with an outsourced finance partner to ensure accurate payroll and management accounts.
* Overseeing all ledgers, banking, procurement, and compliance with internal controls and funder requirements.
* Managing restricted/unrestricted funds, preparing reports for funders, and supporting funding applications.
* Supervising and supporting finance members.
* Ensuring all financial policies, procedures, and audits are up to date and compliant.
* Collaborating with leadership to support strategic financial decisions and operational efficiency.
* Participating in wider organisational activities including training, team development, and governance reporting.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in a finance role and hold a relevant finance qualification (or 4+ years of relevant finance experience without a qualification).
* IATI, ACCA, CIMA qualifications.
* Strong experience with purchase and sales ledgers.
* Confident working with accounting software.
* Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Strong communication skills - both written and verbal - with the ability to liaise across teams.
* Experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector.
