Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager to promote and sell medical decontamination equipment and solutions into hospitals and healthcare facilities across Dublin and the West of Ireland.
This role combines technical expertise with commercial acumen, requiring someone who can understand complex medical systems and effectively communicate their value to clinicians, engineers, and procurement stakeholders. You will be responsible for generating new business, managing existing accounts, and driving sustainable revenue growth while acting as a trusted advisor in infection prevention and workflow optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Business Development: Identify, target, and engage hospitals and healthcare organisations to secure new business opportunities.
* Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clinicians, CSSD/endoscopy teams, infection prevention staff, biomedical engineers, estates/engineering teams, and procurement stakeholders.
* Sales Growth: Achieve agreed sales targets and KPIs, expanding market presence across the assigned territory.
* Technical Expertise: Apply engineering knowledge to explain product design, function, and clinical benefits; provide technical advice and support as the first point of contact.
* Consultative Selling: Deliver engaging presentations, product demonstrations, and workflow-based solutions tailored to customer needs.
* Tender & Bid Management: Support tender submissions and navigate HSE and private procurement processes effectively.
* Training & Support: Assist with installations and deliver training to both clinical and technical teams.
* Compliance: Ensure adherence to all regulatory, ethical, and company standards in sales practices.
Candidate Profile
We’re looking for a motivated professional who can bridge the gap between technical expertise and sales success.
* Experience: Proven track record in medical device, hospital equipment, or capital equipment sales. Experience in decontamination, endoscopy, sterile services, or biomedical engineering is advantageous.
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of decontamination workflows and procurement pathways within the HSE and private healthcare sectors.
* Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and technical presentation abilities; confident engaging with both clinical and technical stakeholders.
* Attributes: Consultative and solution-driven mindset; self-motivated, target-focused, and capable of independently managing a territory.
* IT Skills: Comfortable discussing system integrations, workflow software, and reporting tools with healthcare IT teams.
* Location: Field-based role covering Dublin and the West of Ireland. A valid driver’s licence is required.
