CREGG is currently looking for Automation Engineers with PLC programming experience for a client based in Cork on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to join a very well respected SI and work on projects across Ireland. A valid driving licence and work permit for Ireland are required for this position. Responsibilities for this position include: Development of PLC and SCADA applications. Develop project design documents including functional specifications. Programming, implementation and documentation of upgrades to existing installations. Support the training and ongoing development of the project team in automation / programming skills. Regular reporting of project progress to the project manager. Lead the commissioning of automation installations. Testing of control panels and automation systems including FAT and SAT. Essential Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical Engineering, Automation or Instrumentation or equivalent and have a demonstrated track record in controls/PLC programming Knowledge of industrial networks (Ethernet, Ethernet I/P, Profibus, Profinet, ASi etc). Strong communication skills both verbally and written. Strong problem solving and logical thinking skills. English fluency.
