With a strong pipeline of strategic investment projects and a clear long-term sustainability strategy, they are seeking to appoint a Senior Commercial Financial Analyst to join a high‑performing financial modelling team supporting major capital investment decisions.

Who should apply?
This role would suit a commercially minded finance professional with strong financial modelling experience who is looking to work on large strategic investment projects in a highly analytical environment:
Qualified accountant or relevant financial qualification (e.g. ACA / ACCA / CFA)
Strong Excel and financial modelling skills with experience in capital investment analysis
3+ years post‑qualification experience in financial modelling or investment analysis
Strong commercial mindset with excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills
Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to senior management and business stakeholders
Role and Reporting Lines
The role sits within the Asset Development Financial Analysis team and reports to a Financial Analysis Manager. The team supports major renewable and infrastructure investment decisions through detailed financial modelling and commercial analysis:
Develop and maintain financial models for major capital investment projects across renewable energy technologies
Evaluate and challenge investment proposals to ensure robust commercial decision-making
Support the preparation of business cases for large strategic energy projects
Perform sensitivity analysis to assess project risks and financial performance
Present analysis and insights to project teams and senior management to support decision making
Support business managers with forecasting and financial planning activities
Assist with financial due diligence and analysis relating to potential acquisition opportunities
Work with tax, accounting and risk specialists to ensure robust financial modelling assumptions
