St. Brigid’s Family and Community Centre Community Employment scheme has a vacancy for a Youth Programme Planning Assistant based at Children’s Group Link, Military Road, Waterford. Children’s Group Link provides a range of programs, activities, supports, and services for its members whose core age range is from 10–24 years.
Duties
Coordinate daily schedules and activity plans as required.
Assist with implementation and lead or co‑lead the planned activities using prepared curriculum and program materials.
Aid the preparation, arranging, and maintenance of indoor and outdoor activity areas.
Research new games, programs, or activities that can be introduced.
Support and participate in the After‑School Homework & Activity Clubs.
Supervise young people during indoor and outdoor activities as well as on field trips.
Support the administrative function that underpins the programs and activities on offer.
Evening and weekend work will apply.
Qualifications and Requirements
Good command of the English language (both verbal and written) is desirable.
The person appointed will need to have an interest and aptitude for youth work.
