Assistant Logistics Manager

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead a dynamic logistics team and ensure safe, efficient, and customer-focused operations. This role is responsible for maintaining high standards of safety and environmental compliance, delivering excellent customer service, and driving operational efficiency through digitalisation, lean practices, and team empowerment.
Salary: €50,000-€55,000 plus a benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental standards, driving continuous improvement to minimise risk.
* Deliver high levels of On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) service performance for incoming and customer deliveries.
* Promote a culture of excellence across all daily site interactions and logistics activities.
* Implement efficiency and customer service improvements through team engagement, lean tools, and digital systems.
* Contribute to the development of a logistics vision that integrates service needs across the wider business.
* Lead all logistics-related activity during planned ERP (SAP or equivalent) system upgrades.
* Optimise logistics costs by eliminating waste and maximising resource utilisation.
* Manage and develop haulage partners to ensure safe and high-performing operations.
* Oversee accurate material receipt, picking, and shipment processes.
* Build strong cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Sales, and Finance teams.
* Manage industrial relations in partnership with Human Resources, fostering teamwork and performance.
* Define, track, and deliver against key performance indicators (KPIs), including safety, efficiency, stock record accuracy, and customer service metrics.
Essential Qualifications
* Degree or relevant qualification in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Stock Management, or Front-Line Management.
* Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP or equivalent).
Essential Experience & Skills
* Proven experience in Logistics or Warehouse Management (preferably within manufacturing or construction-related industries).
* Strong track record in leading change and delivering projects successfully.
* Excellent leadership and people management skills.
* Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.

Desirable
* Certification in World Class Manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma.
