Gleneagle is now recruiting for a Beverage Operations Manager to join our leadership team. Overseeing Munster's largest beverage operation, this pivotal role manages all Bars and Beverage Services across both the hotel and the Gleneagle Arena.
With seven bars and a team of 30+ employees, we deliver a diverse program of high-volume events including leisure and entertainment (up to 4,500 attendees), Ireland's BikeFest, conferences (up to 1,000 delegates), and nightly resident entertainment.
This is a senior leadership role combining Bars Management and Event Beverage Operations. It requires a dynamic, commercially minded professional with experience in high-volume service, a proven track record in people management, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-event environment.
About The Role
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Experience
* Foster a guest-centric culture across the team
* Monitor and enhance the guest experience through feedback systems
* Drive continuous improvement and service excellence
Team Leadership
* Lead, develop, and motivate a team
* Deliver ongoing training and development, including supervisory growth
* Conduct regular team meetings, coaching, and performance reviews
Operations Management
* Ensure smooth daily operations across all bars and venues
* Maintain full compliance with hygiene, safety & licensing
Revenue & Financial Performance
* Develop and execute a revenue strategy aligned to targets
* Achieve beverage gross profit targets and control labour & operational costs
* Drive revenue through menu development, upselling, and new product lines
Collaboration
* Work closely with the wider hotel management team
* Attend management meetings and support cross-departmental goals
* Contribute to achieving the overall guest satisfaction and financial performance
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a management role within a high-volume hotel or event venue
* Strong background in both beverage and food service operations
* Proven commercial acumen with budgeting and financial reporting skills
* Strong leadership and people development experience
* Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
