Overview
TJ O'Mahony, Ballymount, Dublin 24, part of Home Project Centre Sales Ltd., Ireland's leading Builders Providers and Home Improvement/DIY retailer, is currently seeking a Permanent, Full-Time Internal Sales Representative to join our growing team.
Job Purpose: The successful candidate will support the daily operations of the Internal Sales Office, delivering excellent customer service while ensuring efficient processing of orders, quotations, and customer enquiries within a fast-paced sales environment.
Responsibilities
Processing customer orders, quotations, invoices, and sales transactions accurately and efficiently
Managing order processing from initial enquiry through to delivery and after-sales support
Handling customer enquiries by phone, email, and face-to-face in a professional and timely manner
Assisting customers with product information, pricing, availability, and technical queries
Managing pricing updates, credit requests, and account-related administration
Liaising with suppliers regarding product sourcing, lead times, stock availability, and deliveries
Working closely with the Dispatch Manager to ensure customer orders are delivered accurately and on time
Working closely with the Office Manager, external sales representatives, and branches across the group
Supporting sales representatives with administration, reporting, target monitoring, and credit control
Maintaining accurate customer records and ensuring all documentation is processed correctly
Using internal systems and software for order management and sales administration
Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
Assisting with additional duties as required to support the business
Qualifications
Previous experience in an internal sales or customer service role
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work on own initiative and manage multiple tasks effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong customer service and sales experience
Ability to work in a busy, target-driven environment
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and internal sales systems
Team player with a positive and proactive attitude
Experience within builders merchants or construction materials industry beneficial
