The Role: My client is looking to hire a Senior Fund Accountant for an 18-month contract. You will help manage finance operations for one of Ireland's sovereign funds. This is a great opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking for a challenging and interesting role. This role reports into the Finance Manager and it is 3 days per week on site. Key Responsibilities You will: Administer loans: review agreements, calculate interest/fees, and track repayments. Review partnership agreements and understand reporting requirements. Review capital allocations, statements, and notices for capital calls and distributions. Track daily cash and set up payment wires; prepare cash forecasts. Prepare and review accounting journals and investment transaction records. Communicate with investment partners and borrowers. Assist with year-end valuations for direct equity investments. Prepare daily and monthly reports. Enter and review financial data in the portfolio management system (IBOR). Reconcile daily NAVs. Support tax advisors with K-1 reviews and tax payments. Review investment manager and custodian fees. Support internal/external audits and ensure compliance with procedures. Work closely with Financial Reporting, Investment, and Project teams. Help streamline processes and improve workflows. Mentor junior fund accountants. Experience Required 4+ years of fund accounting experience. Experience with private market products (required); hedge products (nice to have). A finance or accounting qualification preferred. Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) is an advantage. Key Skills Strong communication and relationship-building skills. High attention to detail.
