Job Description:
The Senior Infrastructure Specialist, a daily rate on-site contractor position in Dublin City, will assist the helpdesk with advanced technical support queries, training, and mentoring to the helpdesk team, which currently consists of three staff members.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Providing advice, training, and support for:
* iPhone troubleshooting and setup, device onboarding, and troubleshooting of Workspace One MDM.
* General desktop and laptop support.
1. Working closely with management to improve processes and support the efficiency of Helpdesk operations to improve ticket turnaround times.
The successful candidate must have very strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to train and mentor others in a technical capacity. Please note, this is an office-based consultation and support role requiring full-time on-site attendance. Remote work or rostered work-from-home arrangements are not available.
Additional responsibilities include:
* Collaborating with Helpdesk staff to resolve technical support requests promptly and professionally.
* Training helpdesk members on various topics and techniques.
* Acting as a knowledge resource for the helpdesk and other ICT personnel.
* Working with management to identify and implement process improvements.
* Supporting and mentoring helpdesk team members to enhance their technical skills.
* Following internal IT procedures and service standards.
* Providing technical support for mobile devices, including iPhone setup and Workspace One MDM.
Minimum requirements:
* At least 6 years of experience in a similar technical support role.
* Recent CompTIA Network+, Security+, and MDAA certifications or equivalent qualifications.
* Experience mentoring colleagues within support teams.
* Practical experience with iPhones and Apple device onboarding/troubleshooting.
* Strong teamwork skills with the ability to provide technical advice and support.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
* Strong knowledge of networking technologies, including LAN, mobile devices, VPNs, and Citrix.
