Job Description:
Laboratory Technician Location: County Carlow
Department: IAS Laboratories
Are you passionate about science and quality? IAS is looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our team in County Carlow. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic laboratory environment, supporting essential testing and analysis that drives our commitment to excellence.What You'll Do
* Prepare and test samples for key parameters such as pH, Conductivity, Turbidity, TDS, Suspended Solids, COD, BOD, Organic Matter, Kjeldahl Nitrogen, and more.
* Accurately record and input results into our LIMS system.
* Maintain compliance with ISO 17025:2017 standards and report any non-conformances.
* Keep your work area organized and clean, following 5S principles.
* Monitor stock levels and ensure proper storage of samples.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen mindset).
What We're Looking For
* Education: Diploma or degree in a science discipline preferred.
* Experience: Experience in a laboratory setting desirable.
* Skills:
* Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and LIMS.
* Language: Good spoken and written English.
