Currently Hiring an experienced SupportWorkerfor theirDublin Operation. Full Time– we are open to flexible working arrangementsPermanent Contract.
Responsibilities
* To assist and motivate clients in acquiring the skills necessary to manage their everyday lives.
* When required, work with the project team to help residents with personal funds, service charge payments, etc.
* To operate the installed security systems and carry out assigned tasks pertaining to the general health, safety, and security of the service.
* Relational Security Support: Controlling service-related hazards
* Assisting residents in maintaining their mental well-being
* Reporting to the partner agency and team in the event that case workers are unavailable
* To report to the team and partner agency when Case Workers are unavailable and to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in the residents' best interests
* To organize and lead social events on-site.
Requirements
* Possess a minimum of one year's experience working in the field of homelessness or a closely connected subject, ideally in a residential setting, OR a Relevant social care degree (Level 5 or higher, such as social care, psychology, nursing, etc.).
* Possess a high level of education.
* For this position, prior service user activity planning experience is preferred.
* An advantage is having prior experience working alone or off-site.
* An awareness of chronic mental health conditions and their effects on the person.
* Excellent working understanding of risk assessment systems and procedures (e.g., Activity Risk Assessments, Lone Working, S/U Risk Assessment)
* Know the basics of health and safety and the regulations pertaining to working with homeless persons in a residential setting.
