Mechanical Commissioning Lead
We are recruiting for a Mechanical Commissioning Lead to join a major hyperscale data centre project in Milan.
This role is with a Tier 1 M&E contractor and a senior site-based role within a fast-paced mission-critical environment, responsible for leading the mechanical commissioning process from system preparation through to testing, handover and client sign-off.
Responsibilities
Review IFC drawings, specifications, and technical submittals
Develop and manage the mechanical commissioning plan
Coordinate commissioning activities with project teams, vendors, and subcontractors
Ensure systems are commissioned safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements
Verify and witness commissioning activities across mechanical systems
Lead walkdowns, inspections, tag walks, and system sign-offs
Manage commissioning trackers, reports, and progress updates
Ensure all commissioning documentation and scripts meet client standards
Requirements
Previous experience in a Mechanical Commissioning Lead or Senior Commissioning role
Strong mechanical building services and commissioning background
Experience delivering large-scale construction or mission-critical projects
Data centre experience advantageous
Excellent coordination, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
Strong understanding of QA/QC and commissioning processes
Benefits
Salary €90,000 – €110,000 DOE
