Senior Individual Giving Officer Manage the Individual Giving portfolio with a strong focus on driving sustainable income.
Senior Individual Giving Officer Department: Fundraising and Communications Grade: 4 Contract: Permanent Location: Harrington Street, Dublin 8 (near Harcourt Street LUAS) Reporting to: Head of Fundraising and Communications Direct reports: Supporter Retention Officer; Supporter Care Administrator Key relationships: Senior Digital Marketing Officer; ICT in the last financial year, our turnover was €18m and we worked directly with 19 countries across the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia.
Key Roles and Responsibilities Planning and Strategy Plan the annual portfolio of acquisition, retention, and supporter development across cash, regular giving, and child sponsorship to drive new donor volumes and maximise ROI and lifetime value.
Work with the Supporter Retention Officer and wider team to develop donor-centred, multi-channel supporter journeys.
Develop a sudden-onset emergency response plan to ensure Plan International is first to market when emergencies strike.
Actively seek cost-effective ways to increase recruitment volumes and improve donor quality, with a specific focus on managing the face-to-face acquisition channel.
Campaign Management Lead end-to-end project management of acquisition, development, and retention campaigns, aligned to strategic KPIs.
Implement and deliver campaigns across direct mail, face-to-face, digital, and telemarketing.
Monitor and report performance against KPIs; prepare regular campaign analysis and optimisation recommendations.
Build strong relationships with external partners (creative, fundraising, print, telemarketing suppliers).
Ensure internal alignment and clear communications across the Fundraising team—keeping all parties updated, engaged, and accountable.
Manage the tax-back claiming process with Revenue, ensuring quarterly claims.
Supporter Care and Data Manage the Supporter Care Administrator to ensure excellent stewardship, including supporter journeys, welcome/thank-you processes, and tailored communications.
Support the ICT manage all data imports.
Continuously improve administrative processes and data segmentation to optimise performance and increase retention.
Support data cleansing and ensure all donor data is up to date and GDPR-compliant.
Collaboration and Relationships Work with the Head of Fundraising and Communications to deliver annual plans and budgets.
Partner with Communications and key stakeholders across the Plan federation to gather content for fundraising campaigns and donor journeys.
Line-manage the Supporter Care Administrator and Supporter Retention Officer, ensuring they achieve annual performance and development goals.
Person Specification Skills and Abilities Data excellent numeracy, forecasting, reporting, and post-campaign analysis.
Communication: Excellent copywriting, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills with the ability to inspire and engage donors and stakeholders.
Relationship-Building: Proven ability to collaborate across internal teams, stakeholders, and external suppliers.
Experience Minimum three years' experience in an Individual Giving role within a fundraising team.
Experience delivering acquisition, retention, and development campaigns (cash, regular giving, tax-back, upgrades, reactivations, donor journeys).
Strong project and campaign management: ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver multiple campaigns end-to-end, on time and within budget.
Line-management experience desirable; ability to motivate, coach, and support colleagues and partners.

Salary and Benefits This role is Grade 4 on Plan International Ireland's salary scale, with an expected range of €44,000–€53,000 .
Placement on the scale depends on experience and fit.
