We are looking for an EHS Manager for a Leading Renewable Energy Organisation for a permanent position based in Co. Offaly.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage the EHS strategy to align with business activities and meet legal and licensing requirements, supporting renewable energy and recycling operations.
* Oversee systems and reporting for EHS compliance, including safety statements, incident investigations, audits, and risk assessments.
* Provide technical EHS support across operational sites for monitoring, sustainability compliance, and waste/water management.
* Maintain certified EHS systems, liaising with regulators and accreditation bodies; report regularly to senior leadership.
* Promote a positive safety culture through clear communication and continuous system improvement.
* Lead and develop a skilled EHS team, ensuring strong structure, succession planning, and performance management.
* Ensure compliance with all safety legislation across all project phases from design to operation.
* Support strategic planning and resourcing as part of the senior management team.
Experience and Qualifications:
* Minimum Level 8 Qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental or equivalent discipline.
* Membership of IOSH.
* 8-10 years at senior management level in H&S or Environmental with proven experience influencing senior and line management in relation to EHS Compliance.
* Familiarity with EHS compliance associated with development and operational management of large-scale energy infrastructure assets.
* Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, inspire a culture of safety, and manage change effectively across all levels of the organisation.
* Ability to clearly communicate complex EHS concepts to a wide audience, including senior leadership, regulatory bodies, and operational teams.
* Capable of identifying long-term EHS risks and opportunities, with a solutions-focused approach to driving continuous improvement and compliance.
