Red D are recruiting a Director of Sales and Marketing for a prestigious hotel in Northern Ireland. We are seeking a proactive and results-driven leader who thrives on delivering revenue growth, inspiring teams, and elevating brand presence within the luxury hospitality sector. The Director of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for maximising sales, leading brand strategy, and overseeing the daily operations of the Sales, Marketing, Events, and Revenue teams. The focus will be on harmonising brand culture, driving standards, enhancing guest experience, and delivering sustainable revenue growth. Key Responsibilities: Deliver strategic business plans alongside the General Manager, Revenue Manager, Cluster Revenue Manager, and Group Director of Sales and Marketing, including the annual Sales and Marketing Plan aligned with hotel objectives and budgets. Lead the Revenue, Sales, Marketing, and Events teams, fostering development, achieving KPIs, and maintaining a strong team culture. Drive revenue growth across all segments by identifying new business opportunities, securing group bookings, developing transient business, and strengthening key account relationships. Represent the hotel at trade shows, industry events, FAM and press trips, and client hospitality events, with occasional international travel. Manage the sales and marketing expense budget and ensure accurate forecasting aligned with financial goals. Collaborate with the Group Director of Sales and Marketing and the Sales & Marketing Executive to implement marketing campaigns, brand initiatives, advertising strategies, and online reputation management. Produce monthly, weekly, and annual reports as required. Work closely with the Revenue Manager and General Manager to maintain up-to-date business forecasts. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and tourism developments, adjusting strategies to maximise opportunities. Lead, train, motivate, and mentor teams to ensure excellence in service delivery and business performance. Skills and Attributes: Strong knowledge of Sales and Marketing processes. Leadership and team development capabilities. Excellent collaboration skills with revenue, sales, and marketing teams. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Deep understanding of marketing tools and brand management. Highly organised, proactive, and deadline-oriented. Guest-centric approach with a focus on internal and external customer needs. Ability to adapt to a flexible working schedule. Minimum Requirements: A combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Minimum of 3 years experience as a Sales Manager in the hospitality sector. Strong written and verbal English skills. Valid driving licence. Preferred Requirements: Degree-level education. Formal education or qualifications in hospitality management, business, sales, revenue, or marketing.
