Our company seeks a highly skilled Toolroom Manager to lead the development and maintenance of our toolroom. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in toolmaking, engineering, or design.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide a safe working environment for employees
* Manage the repair and maintenance of tools, both internally and externally as needed.
* Support troubleshooting and solving technical problems.
* Collaborate with vendors to outsource services as required to support the workload of the toolroom
* Organize daily work at the shop floor to maximize the utilization of team members and equipment.
* Develop and implement strategies to improve functionality, productivity, and problem-solving related to tooling on site. Support the NPI team in new tool builds, acceptance validations, and develop toolmaking expertise while sourcing new equipment.
* Implement best practices to maintain and improve processing equipment and services. Optimize functional systems and efficiencies across processes
* Proactively manage human resources and develop in-house capabilities through training and mentoring. Set targets, review progress, and provide effective data communications to achieve business performance goals. Maintain a positive culture and continuous improvement operations to achieve business objectives li>Lead by example in continuously seeking improvements in the toolroom
Applicant Requirements:
* Third-level qualification in toolmaking, engineering, or tool design
* Strong project management skills, including client interfacing skills
* Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills
* Proficiency in 3D CAD and MS Office skills
