Abbott Vascular is a leading vascular care business focused on advancing treatment of vascular diseases through innovative medical devices and pharmaceuticals. Our products include vessel closure, endovascular, and coronary technologies used to treat conditions like heart attack, stroke, and critical limb ischemia.
Purpose of the Job
Under general guidance, this role provides team leadership to enhance quality and productivity, supports business demands, and manages team development and performance. The role reports to management on team achievements and productivity.
Major Responsibilities
1. Implement staffing plans by identifying resource needs, justifying additional personnel, and coordinating with HR.
2. Develop team members through training, challenging tasks, disciplinary actions, and performance reviews.
3. Oversee daily operations, providing direction to achieve departmental goals.
4. Engage with internal and external customers, responding to requests and explaining procedures.
5. Interpret and implement policies affecting the team.
6. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards such as FDA and BSI.
7. Create work schedules based on priorities and resources.
8. Maintain personnel records and update databases accordingly.
Education & Competencies
* NFQ level 7 qualification or equivalent with 2+ years' relevant experience.
* Monitor progress of team members and project costs, working within a quality system environment.
* Identify and improve work processes, promoting continuous improvement initiatives.
* Motivate and train staff, guiding them towards departmental objectives.
* Plan resource allocation within budgets.
* Make day-to-day decisions within established policies, with oversight for complex issues.
* Work under limited supervision, with work reviewed for judgment and accuracy.
* Provide guidance to staff and support their career development.

* Friday 12:30 – 13:30, Saturday 13:15 – 02:15, Sunday 14:00 – 03:00
