As we continue to expand, we are committed to delivering excellence and innovation while fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.Job Summary:The Group Modular Electrical Team Engineering Lead is responsible for overseeing and leading a team of Electrical engineers focused on the Electrical design fitout of modular units. This role includes managing the integration of electrical and mechanical systems within modular structures, ensuring that all designs are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modular construction, and Electrical systems, along with an understanding of electrical engineering and proven leadership abilities to guide and develop a high-performing team.Key Responsibilities:Leadership and Team Management:Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Electrical engineers to execute Electrical fitout tasks for modular units.Set clear objectives and expectations for team performance, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.Conduct regular team meetings to review project progress, address challenges, and ensure effective communication.Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional development.Develop and implement strategies for team efficiency, workload management, and resource allocation.Ensure production drawings are available in a timely manner in line with the production plan and due date.Electrical Fitout Oversight:Manage the coordination of Electrical designs to ensure seamless integration within modular units and systems, including regular clash detection checks.Review and approve technical designs, drawings, and specifications, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.Monitor the progress of electrical and mechanical fitout works, addressing any challenges, delays, or quality issues that arise.Project Coordination and Collaboration:Work closely with other project teams (e.g. electrical, structural, civil, procurement) to ensure that all electrical systems are integrated efficiently and meet overall project requirements.Liaise with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure that all Electrical fitout aspects are on track, within scope, and aligned with project milestones.Implement effective quality control procedures to guarantee that all Electrical installations meet the specified design and safety standards.Safety and Compliance:Ensure that all Electrical designs complies with safety regulations, local codes, and environmental standards (e.g., EN 1090, BCAR etc.).Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of electrical fitout activities, including designs, reports, schedules, and inspection documents.Prepare and submit regular reports on the status of the electrical fitout to project managers and stakeholders.Ensure that all project documentation is updated, and that version control is maintained for all drawings, specifications, and change orders.Continuous Improvement and Innovation:Identify opportunities for improving electrical and mechanical fitout processes, reducing costs, and enhancing quality through innovation and technology.Stay updated on the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies, applying these insights to improve fitout practices and methodologies.Drive process improvements in modular construction techniques, ensuring that electrical and mechanical systems are installed more efficiently and sustainably.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Electrical engineering roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity within modular construction or similar industries.Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems and modular construction practices. Experience with electrical design, installation, and commissioning.Leadership: Proven experience in managing teams, including the ability to lead, motivate, and develop engineers and technicians.Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including experience with budgeting, resource management, and scheduling.Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of safety regulations, local codes, and industry standards related to electrical and mechanical installations.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with internal teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders.Desired Skills:Modular Construction Experience: Familiarity with modular construction techniques and the specific challenges associated with electrical and mechanical fitouts in modular units.BIM Knowledge: Familiarity with Building Information modelling (BIM) tools and software for coordination and design of electrical and mechanical systems.Quality Management: Experience in implementing quality control and assurance processes for electrical and mechanical installations.Health & Safety Certification: Certification in health and safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) would be an advantage.Project Management Certification: PMP or similar project management certification is desirable.Company Benefits:Competitive salary package.Company pension plan.Comprehensive healthcare plan.Employee referral bonus program.Employee assistance program (EAP).Free on-site parking.
