Job Description:

The Irish Aviation Authority is seeking a highly skilled individual to join the organization and work in our Accessibility team in Consumer Affairs. The successful candidate will be involved in a varied role working to tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Investigate potential breaches of accessibility regulations and bring cases to the Manager with recommendations for compliance and enforcement.
* Gather information, conduct inspections with the Manager, assess evidence and report on recommendations for next steps to Manager.
* Monitor compliance by the airlines with new legislation, investigate complaints and report to Manager on outcomes.
* Develop an inspection framework for planned visits to airports/airlines.
* Assist with the deployment and delivery of the communication strategy for consumer affairs, including on social media and digital platforms.
* Provide compliance intelligence to support IAA Air Passenger Rights Promotion activities.
* Engage both internally and externally with stakeholders to manage and further the policy objectives of the IAA.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and decision-making skills, such that they can undertake case investigations to a high regulatory standard with high attention to detail and discretion. They should have significant experience of working on regulatory policy issues, excellent data analysis and policy analysis to a professional standard, design and evaluate policy options from an independent and objective viewpoint, synthesise complex technical, regulatory, and commercial issues into a form suitable for presentation to management, build strong professional relationships with external stakeholders, including industry, government and consumer bodies, understanding of consumer issues and market dynamics, and excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
