Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Part-time Food & Beverage Assistant to join our team in Mikey Ryan's Bar & Kitchen (casual dining). As a valued member of our organisation, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our guests and contributing to a positive dining experience.
* Greet and seat guests in a warm and welcoming manner
* Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
* Serve food and drinks in a timely and professional manner
* Maintain a clean and tidy dining area
* Operate point-of-sale systems and handle cash transactions
* Assist in setting up and breaking down dining areas
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service delivery
* Respond to guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly
* Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards
* Contribute to a positive team atmosphere
Qualifications
* Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
* Basic knowledge of food handling and safety practices
* Proficiency in cash handling and basic maths
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
* Clear communication skills in English
* Previous experience in food and beverage service is desirable but not essential
* Food safety certification is preferred
* Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends
* Physical ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays or plates
