Brian McElroy Funeral Directors are currently seeking to recruit experienced Limousine Driverson a part-time basis to join our driving team. Competitive rates of pay and flexible hours are available to suit your work life balance however, you would be expected to work a Monday to Sunday/Bank Holiday Roster. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years professional driving experience working as a limousine driver and hold an SPSV and full clean driving license. Purpose of the Role To deliver the unrivalled care that we are renowned for by providing supplemental cover for the driving and logistics teams as required. To always deliver Compassionate Funeral Care, when dealing with bereaved families and colleagues alike. Total flexibility is essential in the Funeral service, which in many instances is dictated by the needs of the bereaved. Primary Objectives To be well presented, confident and efficient always whilst being sensitive, professional and have deep understanding and empathy when dealing with bereaved families and their loved ones in our care, holding strict confidentiality which is paramount in this role. To always communicate with empathy with our bereaved families during the funeral process. To ensure personal behaviour always conforms to Our Company standards. Main Duties and Responsibilities To drive all Company vehicles as instructed including, Limousines, Hearses, Removal vehicles, Ambulance, floral vehicles and fleet cars in the provision of the Companys service and act as Bearer/Helper as required. To fully valet all Company vehicles after each use. To carry out all internal private removals, to and from Hospitals, Residences, Nursing Homes, Hospices, Branches throughout the Group and other locations. To help in the preparation of the deceased i.e. lay-out, dressing and coffining. To participate in Removals and Funerals for other Funeral Directors, Companies or Third Parties outside our Group of Companies when the need arises. To ensure Company Identification procedures are strictly adhered to. To be willing to attend training sessions as and when requested and engage fully with all Health & Safety policies and procedures. Essential Experience and Skills Required: A full current clean Driving License and SPSV license A minimum of 2 years professional driving experience as a Limousine driver in the funeral industry or service industry Excellent driving skills Excellent communication skills Emotional resilience Must be empathetic and compassionate at all times Must be flexible and adaptable over a seven day roster Ability to work as part of a team Ability to work under pressure Excellent time management skills Attention to detai Confidentiality Good personal deportment, cleanliness and personal hygiene are basic prerequisites. A can-do attitude Must be able to carry a coffin and, if acting as a bearer at a funeral, be able to lower a coffin into a grave and take instruction from senior group.
